Love Reboot: Cameron's Regret

Chapter 1 The End Of The Road

"Cameron Zamora, let's divorce," Yanina Fulbright declared, her bandaged forehead seeping fresh blood down her face. Locked in a tearful gaze with Cameron across from her, the words came out firm.

Today marked their one-year wedding anniversary. But instead of a celebration, Cameron dropped a bombshell - he had to pick someone up from the airport. It was Callie Stark, his long-lost first love. Yanina's heart shattered upon seeing her.

The ride home was tense, with Callie in the back, Yanina up front, and Cameron driving. The silence was suffocating.

Suddenly, a car sped towards them, and in the chaos of the crash, Yanina lay bleeding on the ground, watching Cameron fiercely protect Callie.

It dawned on her then: her love was one-sided. Cameron knew love, but it wasn't for her.

At home, Yanina confronted him, "Cameron, I want a divorce."

Cameron didn't respond, just gave her a frosty look. "Did you have something to do with the accident?" he asked, his voice cold as he wiped blood from his arm.

His accusation stabbed her heart. 'You picked up your first love on our anniversary, and I was there, yet you accuse me of the crash?' she thought, her heart aching.

"Do you even know what today is?" Yanina challenged, tears welling up in her eyes.

Cameron's furrowed brows and silence spoke volumes. Without a word, he left, his warning echoing, "Don't get involved in this."

"Cameron!" Yanina called out, straining with emotion as she rose from the couch, her heart sinking. She grabbed her suitcase. "I'll see you at the courthouse at eight tomorrow."

As she moved for the door, Cameron's scowl deepened. "Where do you think you're going?" he barked.

Yanina tried to leave, but he seized her wrist and threw her onto the sofa. His shirt came off, revealing a muscular chest. She turned away, repulsed by his cologne. "Let me go!" she insisted.

Before she could react, Cameron pinned her hands and gripped her chin, kissing her fiercely.

"Let me go!" Yanina squirmed, but his hold only grew tighter, more forceful.

It wasn't a kiss; it was Cameron's anger unleashed. As he moved, Yanina bit down hard on his tongue. The taste of blood filled their mouths, spurring Cameron on. His grip tightened, and Yanina fought for breath.

The phone's ring interrupted them. Cameron glanced at Yanina, then at the phone. He answered softly, "Hello." Yanina recognized Callie's voice, her heart crumbling in pain.

Despite the pain, Yanina smiled. She picked up her suitcase, straightened her clothes, and without looking back, walked out of the villa.

Three months passed in a flash. In the CEO's office at Everbright Group, Cameron frowned at a stock transfer document. He rummaged through his desk drawer and pulled out dusty divorce papers.

"Did she really leave everything behind? Even the 5% shares from my grandfather?" Cameron's voice was steady, but Zak Gilbert, his assistant, picked up on the undercurrent of anger.

'Sir, you were the one who signed the divorce papers. Didn't you read the terms?' Zak thought to himself, biting his tongue.

"Liquidate her shares and convert them to cash. I'll buy them," Cameron instructed with a sneer.

He couldn't shake the image of Yanina's smirk as she walked away, the red birthmark on her forehead like a dancing flame, stirring something primal within him.

"Mr. Zamora, our subsidiary, Universe Media, has a new star streamer, CrimsonSnow. She's gained millions of followers in just a few months, and her livestreams are a hit. She's a sales powerhouse. Goldenlight Entertainment is trying to sign her with a big contract. Should we renegotiate?" Zak handed over CrimsonSnow's resume, trying to gauge Cameron's interest.

Cameron barely looked at the document before pushing it back. "For trivial matters like this, contact Leon at Universe Media."

"But sir, about the streamer..." Zak began, but Cameron cut him off.

"Just another internet sensation. Not my concern," Cameron dismissed. "What's the update on the car accident investigation?"

"It was an accident," Zak confirmed. He then glanced at the resume photo of CrimsonSnow, knowing it was Yanina, Cameron's ex-wife. He sighed inwardly, hoping Cameron wouldn't regret losing her to Goldenlight Entertainment.

"Cam, your coffee's ready," Callie's soft voice announced outside the office. The door opened, and she entered, a steaming cup in hand.
