To use LeReader's services, you should read and comply with the User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"). Please make sure you read it carefully and fully understand its contents, especially the terms exempting or limiting liability. Unless you have read and accepted all the terms of this Agreement, you would not be able to use the services provided by LeReader. By using the services of LeReader, you are agreeing to all the terms laid out in this Agreement. If you are under 18, or do not have full civil capacity, you should read this Agreement while being accompanied by your legal guardian and pay extra attention to the Minor Policy. Otherwise, LeReader shall not be liable for any adverse consequence arising from subsequent actions such as registration, use of the website services, etc., and shall have the right to terminate the Agreement upon learning of such information
1. Scope of the Agreement
This Agreement is entered into between you and the operator of LeReader concerning your use of LeReader's services. The operator of LeReader refers to the legal body responsible for the operation of LeReader. The term “User” means the user of the services and products of LeReader, and is usually referred to as “you” in this Agreement.
2. Account and Password Security
2.1. You need to register an account when using LeReader.
2.2. As a friendly reminder, you should keep your account number and password safe and. should quit your account after using it. LeReader shall not be liable for your stolen account or password caused by your negligence.
2.3. LeReader recommends that your password should contain at least three of the following four types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and keyboard symbols. LeReader shall not be liable for your stolen account or password caused by weak password. LeReader shall not be liable for any loss incurred by the breach of account security or privacy protection which is not caused solely by LeReader.
3. Protection of Your Personal Information
3.1. LeReader places great emphasis on the protection of your personal information.
3.2. You need to fill in some necessary information when registering an account or using the app. Unless otherwise specified by relevant laws and regulations, you need to fill in your real information. If the information you fill in is incomplete, you would not be able to use the app or be restricted in your use of our services.
3.3. Under normal circumstances, you can view and modify your information at any time. But for security and identification reasons (such as phone number verification service), you may not be able to modify the initial registration information and other verification information.
3.4. LeReader will use a variety of security technologies and procedures to establish a comprehensive management system to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
3.5. LeReader will not disclose your personal information to any company, organization or individual without your consent unless otherwise required by relevant laws and regulations.
3.6. LeReader attaches great importance to the protection of personal information of minors. If the parents (guardians) want the minor (especially children under the age of 10) to use the services provided by LeReader, they must apply for registration in their names and judge whether the app is suitable for minors. LeReader guarantees that it will not disclose user registration information and non-public information stored on the its platform, servers or databases, except in the following cases:
1) Obtain explicit authorization from the users in advance;
2) According to relevant laws and regulations;
3)According to the requirements of relevant government departments and judicial organs;
4) To safeguard the interests of the public;
5) To safeguard the legal rights and interests of LeReader;
4. How to Use Our Services
4.1. Guides to Our Services
a. Unless otherwise agreed by you and LeReader, you agree that the service is for your personal and non-commercial purposes only.
b. You should use the service in the way provided or approved by LeReader. The rights obtained from this Agreement are not transferable.
c. You may not interfere, destroy, modify or affect the services under this Agreement by using plug-ins or third-party tools which are not authorized by LeReader.
4.2. Violation of the above agreements will be deemed as you having seriously breached the contract, in which case LeReader can terminate the service and legal relationship between the two parties, and any payment you make to LeReader will be deemed as liquidated damages. If the liquidated damages are not sufficient to cover LeReader's losses, LeReader may seek recourse from you through other legal channels.
5. Disclaimer
You understand and agree that LeReader's services are made available by existing technologies and conditions. LeReader will do its utmost to ensure the continuity and security of its services. However, LeReader can not foresee and prevent legal, technical and other risks, including but not limited to force majeure, viruses, Trojans, hacker attacks, system instability, third-party service defects, government actions and any other event that results in service interruption, data loss and other losses.
6. Equipment
6.1. You should understand that you will be required to prepare your own terminal equipment (such as computer, modulator, etc.), and bears the necessary fees (such as telephone charges, Internet access fees, etc.).
6.2. You understand and agree that your use of our services will consume traffic from terminal equipment and bandwidth.
7. Advertisement
7.1. You agree that LeReader or third party advertisers may send advertisements or promotional messages (both commercial and non-commercial) to you during your use of our services in a manner which can be altered without notifying you.
7.2. LeReader fulfills its obligations to advertisers in accordance with the laws. You should assess the authenticity of advertising contents and be responsible for your own judgment. Unless otherwise specified by the law, LeReader will not be liable for any damages you suffer because of the aforementioned advertising contents or any transaction made based on those advertisements.
7.3. You agree that you should carefully assess the authenticity of the advertising contents appearing in LeReader. Unless otherwise specified by the law, you will be responsible for the transactions conducted based on the advertising contents.
7.4 .You agree that all paid services or functions will not exempt you from accepting the advertisements provided by LeReader, as this is how LeReader would be able to provide you with comprehensive services for our users. By using our services, you are acknowledging you understand and accept this rule.
8. Billing and Top-up
8.1. You understand and agree that LeReader reserves the right to provide our services for free or at a cost. Our services charge users for online value-added service fees through a universal charging channel or billing method. The amount of money you deposite cannot be used for other products or services. After topping up, LeReader will not refund the amount which are already spent. If you wish to withdraw your remaining money, LeReader will return the money via the payment method selected by users, and will charge a 10% refund fee. In special cases where the money cannot be returned to your bound account, you can provide another valid account to the customer service in order to receive your refund.
8.2. You understand and agree that LeReader reserves the rights to determine and alter the its standard charges and rules, which will become effective upon publication and form a valid part of this Agreement. LeReader can change its standard charges and charging methods according to the actual needs, and start charging for some free services. Any change LeReader makes will be announced on the corresponding service page. If you do not agree to those alterations, you have the right to stop using our services. By continuing to use our services, you are agreeing to this rule.
8.3. Some of LeReader's services are paid services. If you use our paid services, you should follow the set rules of which you will be notified on the relevant page. If you refuse to pay the fee, you will not be able to use those paid services.
8.4. LeReader has the rights to set its standard charges and charging methods. Its standard charges and charging methods may vary depending on different services you use and on different stages of the services.
8.5. LeReader can change its standard charges and charging methods according to the actual needs, or start charging for some free services. Any changes LeReader makes will be announced on the corresponding service page. If you do not agree to the alterations, you have the right to stop using our services.
8.6. The paid services provided by LeReader come with a one-month expiry starting from the date of payment, during which time you will have full access to the chapters you purchased. LeReader shall not be liable for any reading failure beyond the expiry date.
8.7. Deposit
8.7.1. LeReader's products have different virtual currencies for each of its products. The topping up of each product uses different virtual currencies and those virtual currencies are not interchangeable.
8.7.2. You acknowledge and understand that LeReader does not provide its platform for trading virtual currency between users. Any transaction of the virtual currency between users constitutes a violation of this agreement, and LeReader has the right to take appropriate measures to prevent this from happening without notifying its users.
8.7.3. You understand and agree that the money-back policy does not apply to the virtual currency. Once recharged successfully, the result can not be altered or modified. You may not request for a refund on the ground that your account still has virtual currency left after your purchase.
8.7.4. When recharging the products of LeReader, you must carefully confirm your account number and related information. LeReader shall not be liable for any adverse results induced by your improper operation or your ignorance of our billing method, such as topping up the wrong account or selecting the wrong recharge packages. In those cases, you shall not claim any indemnity or compensation from LeReader.
8.7.5. If you use the third-party payment service to recharge, you shall abide by the agreements with the third party and its terms of service; in the process of using the third-party payment service, you shall properly keep your personal information, including but not limited to your bank account, password, verification code; You agree and confirm that LeReader is not responsible for any dispute arising from your use of third-party payment service.
8.7.6. In the event that your account is blocked/terminated due to violation of the terms of this Agreement, you shall not claim any imdemnity or compensation from LeReader.
8.7.7. In cases where the recharging failure is caused by the malfunction of LeReader's billing system, LeReader will take prompt actions to remedy the situation provided that it recovers or still has valid user data or that user can provide legal and valid proof.
8.7.8. In cases where the recharge amount registered by the system is less than the acutal recharege amount due to the malfunction of LeReader's billing system, LeReader will make up the difference.
8.7.9. In cases where the recharge amount registered by the system is more than the acutal recharege amount due to the malfunction of LeReader's billing system, LeReader has the right to recover the difference.
8.7.10. You understand and agree that once a successful purchase has been made using the virtual currency in your account, the purchase would not be altered or modified. Without the consent of LeReader, the amount of virtual currency that you spend is non-refundable; the amount of virtual currency that you spend will not be refunded in cases of suspension or interruption of our services or the removal of the purchased book from LeReader.
9. Revenue
If you publish works (including but not limited to: novels, poems, book reviews, etc.) in LeReader, you are accepting various rewards or website virtual services or product rewards sent by users of this website for your works. After receiving the aforementioned rewards, we will deduct a certain channel fee (no higher than 50%) and transfer it to your account. By refusing to accept the rewards or refusing to accept the channel fee, you are refusing to accept the content and rules of this agreement, and as such you can not use any of the related services and functions such as publishing on this website. In order to protect the normal use of the website services and functions of other users, we have the right to suspend or terminate the service agreement and legal relationship between the two parties in addition to the above functions and services.
10. Third-Party Products or Services
When you use products or services provided by a third party in LeReader, in addition to complying with this agreement, you should also abide by the user agreement of the third party. LeReader and the third party are each responsible for possible disputes within the scope of the law and respective agreements.
11. Software
11.1. You may need to download some softwares while using our services, and for these softwares, LeReader gives you a personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive license. You may only use these softwares for the purposes of accessing or using our services.
11.2. In order to improve user experience and ensure the security of the service and the consistency of product functions, LeReader may update its software. You should update the relevant softwares to the latest version, otherwise LeReader does not guarantee that it will work properly.
12. Intellectual Property Statement
12.1. The copyright and trademark rights of the commercial logo used by LeReader in this service are owned by LeReader.
12.2. The copyright, trademark, trade secrets, other intellectual property rights, proprietary rights or other rights of all information, materials, texts, softwares, sounds, pictures, videos, graphics (including related software) related to the services provided by LeReader belong to LeReader or its rights holders, and are protected by relevant laws of the People's Republic of China and international agreements and international treaties. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, copy, distribute, authorize, create derivative works, transfer or sell any such information, materials, texts, softwares, sounds, pictures, videos or graphics without the prior authorization of LeReader or its rights holders. If you fail to comply with the above provisions of this clause, without damaging other rights, LeReader may immediately terminate its service to you. You must destroy any of the above information, materials, texts, softwares, sounds, pictures, videos, and charts that you have obtained. Failure to comply with this clause would be considered as a serious breach of this agreement and LeReader can suspend your service and terminate any service agreement and legal relationship with you. Any payment you make to LeReader would be considered as liquidated damages. If the liquidated damages are not enough to make up for LeReader's losses, LeReader can seek recourse from you through other legal channels.
13. Prohibited Conducts
13.1. You must abide by laws and regulations when using this service, and you may not use this service to engage in illegal or illegal activities, including but not limited to:
(1) Publish, transmit, disseminate, and store content that endangers national security, undermines social stability, violates public order; insults, slander, obscenity, violence, and any violation of national laws and regulations;
(2) Publish, transmit, disseminate, and store content that violates the legal rights of others' intellectual property rights, trade secrets, etc.;

13.2. If you violate this article, the relevant state agency or agency may bring you a lawsuit, a fine or other sanctions, and asked LeReader to give assistance. LeReader shall not be liable for any damage caused by you, and you shall make compensation according to law.
13.3. If LeReader discovers or receives reports from others that you post information which is in violation of this article, LeReader has the right to assess the credibility of such report and use technical means to remove, block or disconnect links. At the same time, depending on the nature of the user's conduct, LeReader has the right to take measures, including but not limited to, suspension or termination of our services, restricting, freezing or terminating user account, and pursuing legal liability.
13.4. If you violate this agreement and cause damages to any third party, you shall be solely responsible; you shall also compensate for any loss LeReader suffers.
13.5. Violation of this clause would be considered as a serious breach of this agreement and LeReader can suspend your service and terminate any service agreement and legal relationship with you. Any payment you make to LeReader would be considered as liquidated damages. If the liquidated damages are not enough to make up for LeReader's losses, LeReader can seek recourse from you through other legal channels.
14. Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations.
14.1. You should comply with local laws and regulations and respect local ethics and customs. You would be liable for any violation of local laws, regulations or customs.
14.2. You should refrain from any use of our services that might involve LeReader into political and public events, otherwise LeReader reserves the right to suspend or terminate its service to you.
14.3. Violation of this clause would be considered as a serious breach of this agreement and LeReader can suspend your service and terminate any service agreement and legal relationship with you. Any payment you make to LeReader would be considered as liquidated damages. If the liquidated damages are not enough to make up for LeReader's losses, LeReader can seek recourse from you through other legal channels.
15. Contents You Send and Spread and Third-Party Complaints
15.1. You should be responsible for the contents you send or spread (including but not limited to web pages, texts, images, audios, videos, graphics, etc.) .
15.2. The contents you send or spread should be from a legal source, and you should hold the copyright of the contents or have the authorization from the owner.
15.3. You agree that LeReader may use the contents you send or spread for the purpose of fulfilling this Agreement or providing its services.
15.4. If LeReader receives notice from the owner claiming that the contents you send or spread violates his or her rights, you agree that LeReader has the right to remove, block or disconnect links at its own discretion.
16. Force Majeure and Other factors
16.1. You understand and agree that you may encounter certain risks during your use of our services, such as force majeure, which may result in the interruption of our services. Force majeure refers to the objective events that are unforeseeable, insurmountable and unavoidable and have a significant impact on one or both parties, including but not limited to natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, epidemics and storms, and social events such as wars, riots, government actions. In the above situations, LeReader will try to cooperate with the relevant authorities to remedy the situations. Unless otherwise required by the law, LeReader will not be liable for the losses you suffer.
16.2. To the extent permitted by law, LeReader is not liable for any interruption or obstruction of service caused by:
(1)Computer viruses, Trojans, hackers or other malicious programs,;
(2)Malfunction of user's or LeReader's computer software, systems, hardwares and communication lines;
(3) User's improper operation;
(4) Using our services via an unauthorized manner;
(5) Other situations that LeReader can not control or foresee;
16.3. You understand and agree that you may encounter risks induced by network information or other users. LeReader will not be liable for the authenticity, applicability or legality of any information, nor for any damages caused to you by any infringement. These risks include but are not limited to:
(1)Information that contains threats, slander, offensive or illegal contents from an anonymous personnel or an imposter;
(2)Any psychological, physical injury and economic loss caused or likely to be caused by misleading and deception when using our services;
(3) Other risks caused by network information or user behavior;
16.4. You understand and agree that our services are not designed for some specific purposes, including but not limited to nuclear facilities, military applications, medical facilities, transportation and so on. LeReader will not be liable for any injury, property damage or environmental damage caused by the failure of the above operations.
16.5. LeReader has the right to deal with illegal contents at its own discretion. However, it is not LeReader's obligation or commitment, and LeReader can not guarantee those contents would be spotted or dealt in a timely manner.
16.6. Under no circumstances should you believe in such actions as borrowing money, asking for passwords or any other money-related online request. Before conducting any financial operations, you should check other person's identity first, and pay attention to LeReader's tips on preventing fraud.
17. Effectiveness and Modification of this Agreement
17.1. By using our services, you are agreeing to this Agreement.
17.2. LeReader reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement when necessary. You can check the latest version of the Agreement on the relevant service page.
17.3. After the modification of this Agreement, if you continue to use the software or services provided by LeReader, you are accepting the modified Agreement. If you do not accept the modified version, you should stop using the its software or services.
18. Modification, Interruption and Termination of Service
18.1. LeReader may alter the serive contents, or interrupt, suspend or terminate its services.
18.2. LeReader reserves the right to discontinue or terminate the services provided to you without notice if any of the followings occurs:
(1) According to the law, you should submit your genuine information. The information you provide is not genuine, or is inconsistent with the registered information and you fail to provide verifiable proofs;
(2) You violate relevant laws and regulations or this Agreement;
(3) As required by law or relevant authorities;
(4) For security reasons or other valid reasons;
19. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
19.1. This Agreement is signed at Gulou District, Fuzhou, People's Republic of China.
19.2. The signing, effectiveness, performance, interpretation and resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (not including Conflict of Laws).
19.3. Any dispute between you and LeReader shall be settled through friendly negotiation; if the negotiation fails, you agree to submit the dispute to the people's court having jurisdiction over the place where this Agreement is signed.
19.4. The headings of this Agreement are for convenience only and have no actual meaning. As such, they cannot be used to interpret this Agreement.
19.5. In the event that the terms are partially invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and binding on both parties.
20. Terms of Use for Minors
20.1. If you are under 18, you shall be deemed as a minor who shall read this agreement and use our services under the supervision and guidance of your guardian.
20.2. Minor users are usually inexperienced, easily confused by online virtual images, and courious. As such, they are prone to be manipulated by people with malicious intents and lack the ability to deal with emergencies and protect themselves. Therefore, minor users should pay attention to the following instructions when using our services so as to improve safety awareness and protect themselves:
